Manchester United & Turkish airlines come to an agreement

Manchester United were linked to debts and money problems lately. However today, there was an announcement that Manchester United have found themselves officially a new football sponsor, the Turkish Airlines who became the team’s official carrier.

We still do not have the detailed information, however all we know it is a sponsorship of 3 years.

It is interesting to note that Turkish Airlines have also sponsored Barcelona this week in a similar contract.

World Cup 2010: Countries will proctect their teams using private companies

The security issue at the World Cup 2010 is becoming an issue more and more and after the Togo incident in the African Cups of nation, ther are some security measurements that some countries will take.

In an article published by telegraph.co.uk today, that at least four countries will have private security measurements for their teams. These teams are Australia, Germany, Italy and New Zealand.

Greece is also considering it an option.  On the South African side, they are increasingly updating and saying that they have taken all the necessary protection measurements to protect their team and to secure their safety.

Arsenal wins against Bolton

Arsenal goes on top with a thrilling match win against Bolton. After conceiving two early 2 goals in the first half one in the 7th minute and another in the 28th minute.  The Gunners fought back to score 4 goals in return to seal the deal and gain the three points.

Rosicky scored in the 43rd minuted in the first half, in teh second half, the captain Fabregas has scored the equalizing goal in the 52nd minute and then Vermaelen scored the goal in the 65th minute and finally Arshavin in the 85th minute.

Liverpool wins

Yes, Liverpool wins… It almost seemed impossible to believe that Liverpool could win again! Tottenham was not lucky on Wednesday as Liverpool was on fire and it was a do or die match for the Reds.

Dirk Kuyt led his team to victory by scoring twice and rewarding Liverpool a three vital points in the Premier League.

Despite the win, there are still rumors that Rafa Benitez could be sacked as a the manager of the team and Guus Hiddink could be the number replacement for the Spanish manager.

Earlier on Wednesday, we have seen Benitez calling on to fans to be more supportive of his team so that they win and close the gap on the list.

One win could mean that Liverpool are not totally dead, however, we have to wait and see how they perform at later stage, as this is the only competition they are left with

Wayne’s Rooney might be for sale

Manchester United might be selling their superstar Wayne Rooney. Well, at least according to his representative, Rooney is available if enormous amount of money was offered for his transfer.

Well, as some claim that money talks for others like Totti in Roma, or Del Piero in Juventus or Maldini for AC Milan, Raul for Real Madrid, were faithful to their clubs and wore them in sickness and in health… however it seems that for others like Wayne Rooney, Old Trafford could be … could be easily sold in case some negotiations occurred and big bids were on the table. We could see Rooney waving a goodbye to Manchester and a Hello for a possible move to Barcelona or Real Madrid, as both Spanish clubs offered bids of around 70 million British Pounds.

We have to wait and see how things go for Rooney .. there is still some time left for the Window Transfer to be closed!
