It may only be week two in the Serie A calendar but the fixtures computer has thrown up two mouth-watering matches…

On Saturday night it is the Milan derby, as Leonardo’s AC take on Mourinho’s Inter. It is one of the most fiercely contested derby matches in world football, and with so many great players on show, it promises to be quite a spectacle. Last weekend Champions Inter got off to a sluggish start as they were held to a 1-1 at home by Bari. The good news for Mourinho was that Samuel Eto’o opened his Inter account but nonetheless it is certainly a disappointing result.

By contrast Milan got off to the perfect start, winning 2-1 away at Siena. Pato has certainly risen to the challenge of filling Kaka’s boots, as he scored both goals in Milan’s win. But it was another Brazilian who stole the show with some outrageous skills in Siena. Ronaldinho may just be back to his best, and if he is then Milan will give Inter a good run for their money this season. AC are good value to beat their rivals at 17/10, in what is their home game at the San Siro.

While the Milan giants go head-to-head, in the Eternal City Roma face Juventus in the weekend’s other big match. Juve began the season with a 1-0 win over Chievo while Roma were beaten 3-2 by Genoa.

Having shipped three goals to Genoa, Roma will be hoping their talented Brazilian defender Juan can shake off a muscle injury in time to face Juventus. If Juan is passed fit, he will line up alongside his defensive partner Philippe Mexes, who returns from the suspension. The return of Juan and Mexes will certainly bolster the Giallorossi’s defence.

The Roma defence will need to be at their best to deal with the attacking threat of Juve’s Brazilian playmaker Diego. The summer signing from Werder Bremen made quite an impact on his debut at Chievo last weekend and already looks like he will be a huge success for the Bianconeri. Juve are well priced at 3/2 for an away win and Diego is 233/100 to open his account for the Old Lady. Why not do a double and get combined odds of 733/100 with bwin?!
