La Liga News – Barcelona in race for Torres and Fabregas on summer!

After been boosted by massive cash injection from huge sponsorship deal with Qatar foundation (125 million over five years), Barcelona are planning an audicious 85 million bid for Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres next summer.

Barcelona was close to bring home Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas, after the World Cup. He is a native Catalan and he was very close to moving back home, but he was persuaded by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to stay at the Emirates. If Barcelona made their bid as it is expected, Fabregas will be hard to resist.

On the other side, Torres in Liverpool has a strange season. On some occassions, he showed his class as in match against Chelsea when he scored twice. Torres is also wanted by Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, but since he grew up playing for Atletico Madrid and he made his professional begginings there, it is expected he will not go to Santiago Bernabeu.

Barcelona’s coach Pep Guardiola has already assembled the squad of outstanding quality and are the team with the best odds to lift the Champions League trophy at Wembley next May. He already is making plans to remain the most fearsome team next season with best quality group of players with great chemistry among them. Therefore he is entering the race for Fabregas and Torres. If these two would come to Camp Nou, Barca would become the Spanish national team in small. With finance from Qatar, money will be no problem.
