Ladbrokes awarded French License

CANALWIN – the Joint Venture between Ladbrokes plc and CANAL+ Group has been awarded a licence by French online gambling regulator ARJEL. The company, which confirmed its management structure earlier this month, continues to develop its sports betting service and plans to launch the service later this year.François Deplanck, Chief Executive Officer of the Joint Venture commented: “CANALWIN builds on the strength of the CANAL+ brand and the expertise of Ladbrokes. Now that we have a licence we are focused on developing a successful product and look forward to launching our service in due course.”
