Denilson stated:

“I don’t believe what Puyol says; I believe in Cesc, because Arsenal has helped Cesc Fabregas a lot in his career, and I think that he wants to stay.”

Maicon’s agent demands €7 million per annum for Maicon, while Real Madrid are not willing to satisfy this sum. The next hours are critical for the outcome of Maicon’s move.

Ramires close to Chelsea from Benfica
Chelsea are reported to have made a bid of €22 million to Benfica for Brazilian midfielder Ramires. Benfica will benefit from this transfer, since they have bought Ramires in a €7m fee from Cruzeiro. There is no official confirmation of the move yet, since an official press release is expected today.

Robinho heading back to Europe
Many European clubs are flirting with Robinho, including Inter Milan and Benfica. Manchester City want to reduce their squad size to 25 players, to comply with new FA regulations and are willing to see a £20 million return on the £32.2m they paid Real Madrid in August 2008 for Robinho’s services.

Robinho has been on loan at Brazilian Santos, after failing to impress manager Roberto Mancini.
