Live Football Transfer News and Rumors – Tevez stays in city?

Manchester City’s last season captain and top scorer Carlos Tevez has finally returned from his prolonged vacation in Argentina after Coppa America caps for his national team. Striker show up on Monday at Eastlands on a training session, but his future at the club is still foggy.

In Tevez’s absence City was unable to defeat city rivals Manchester United in their Community shield showndown as they were beaten 3-2, despite leading 2-0 at the half time.

It is yet unclear whether the 27-year old will star for his team at the Premier League kick off at home against the newly promoted Swansea next weekend.

Skillful striker has several times repeated his desire to leave the Manchester City in order to be closer to his family in Argentina. However, proposed transfer to Brazilian giants Corinthians fell through last month as they were unable to match player’s value estimated by the City. It is now believed that Inter are the leading contenders for Tevez’s signature although they still haven’t submitted the formal bid for the player. It is believed that any offer could be financed by potential sale of midfielder Wesley Sneijder to Mancheser United.
