Live Premier League football betting odds, tips and previews – Round 26 – 05-02-2011
ByHot football weekend in English Premier League is coming. Chelsea welcomes Liverpool and that is the most anticipated match this weekend. Manchester United will visit last placed Wolverhampton. Manchester City plays third match in a row against one of the clubs from Birmingham, but this time at home, while Arsenal goes to St. James Park. West Ham United plays at home interesting match against survival rivals Birmingham City.
Whole England was shaken by Torresomania. When Spanish striker transferred from Liverpool to Chelsea, everyone asked if he is going to play against his yesterday club on Sunday. According to Carlo Ancelotti, Torres and English press there are big chances he will play. Liverpool has its own aces in new strikers Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll (injured) and a good run of results lately with clean sheet in last three matches. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish expects new players will refresh the squad that earned so much self-confidence during the last few matches. With Raul Meireles in form and Jamie Carragher possible comeback to defensive line, Liverpool makes worthy opponent for last year Premier League champions. If we can make any prediction Chelsea would be a favorite with just a bit more odds for win, but in matches like this one it is hard to predict the outcome. Last match in November won Liverpool 2:0. Let’s put it like this, by the odds and stats Chelsea is a favorite, but by the hunch Liverpool is the candidate for three points.
By our opinion second most interesting match this weekend is duel between West Ham United and Birmingham City in London. West Ham lost in Carling Cup two leg semi-finals to Birmingham and when talking about some doubts it can be taken as a fact that could decide winner. However, in that Carlin Cup semi’s West Ham won first match at home 2:1 with a man down through the most of the second half. Beside, motive for survival should be enough for both teams to show their best football. West Ham has better odds and I’d say that from Monday they could finally get out of relegation zone and put Birmingham City in it.
Leading three will play some interesting matches. Usually match between first and last team in league is a boring and predictable one, but not in English Premier League. Be certain that Wolverhampton will do all they can to win leaders Manchester United. Alex Ferguson team is in a good form and Wolves are pretty much out of luck lately (they lost a game in last minute to Bolton in last round) but that doesn’t have to mean much of a thing. Manchester United doesn’t have a custom of losing to Wolves during the last couple years, and it looks like this match will be interesting, but a certain win for United. Away team has much better odds for win and our tip is on them with three to four goals on a match. As for rest of the matches, we will see if Manchester City will finally make a win after three matches without triumph. Mancini stated they need to work harder and to show better approach to each match. We believe they will win respectively. Bet on Manchester City. Arsenal goes to Newcastle which lost the main striking force by selling Andy Carroll to Liverpool on Monday. Arsene Wenger’s team should make a certain win.
