Alberto Aquilani has agreed with AC Milan a season-long loan deal from Liverpool with a possibility to a permanent move.

The 27-year-old midfielder joined Liverpool in 2009 when Liverpool cashed 20 million pounds for his transfer from Roma. However, player has never settled at the club as he made only 28 appearances in all competitions. Last season, midfielder spent on loan at Juventus before the off-season signings of Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing made it clear he would probably not feature first team football in Kenny Dalglish’s squad, despite being impressive in pre-season.

The loan deal guarantees his season long stay at Milan and grants option for Massimiliano Allegri’s side to purchase midfielder if he makes at least 25 appearances for the Italian Serie A champions.

Kenny Dalglish has explained why he gave a loan deal a green light: “It’s a great move for Alberto. He’s got his wife and kid over there. It was difficult for him here. When he came back his pre-season training was excellent. We gave him a few games, he did well in those games. But the problem for us was trying to get him in the team. We couldn’t get him in the team. Obviously everybody wants to play and Alberto is moving over to a fantastic football club. He goes there with the best wishes of everyone and we hope it works out for him, because he was never a problem in any way, shape or form.”

Aquilani will replace Andrea Pirlo who joined Juventus.

Argentine striker has signed a five-year deal with Premier League side Manchester City. According to reports, City paid a 38 million pound fee to Aguero’s Atletico City.

New Manchester City’s striker has 175 caps for Atletico Madrid and 74 goals scored in their jersey. For his national team, he played 30 matches scoring 13 times.

With signing Aguero, City’s boss Roberto Mancini has now six attackers at his disposal. According to his words, it is a good thing to have so many good attackers in the squad, especially if in the season ahead your team participates in four competitions. This situation is setting higher standards among players to fight for their place in the team and improves odds for getting trophies. However, some of these guys will have to leave the club in order to play constantly. If rumors are true, Craig Bellamy who recently has returned from loan in Cardiff City is close on concluding the similar deal with Celtic. On the other side, Adebayor wishes to official transfer to Real Madrid, but that depends on Real Madrid’s interest in that kind of deal. Problematic homesick part of Manchester City’s attacking line are Argentinean striker, team’s captain and top goal scorer Carlos Tevez who has been linked with Corinthians and Inter and Italian Mario Balotelli who has been linked with a transfer to Serie A champions Milan. What will happen until the 31st August when summer transfer window closes, remains to be seen.

Last round of Serie A will wrap up on Sunday. It is known that Milan are the new Serie A champions, but their boss Massimiliano Allegri wants his team to win in their remaining duel against Udinese. On the other side, Udinese are on the brink of entering Champions League and they will seek for a home win in this match so they can be certain participants of the Champions League next season. Even a draw could be enough for them. Bet on Udinese.

Lazio are travelling to Lecce. They will be looking for a three points there with a hope that Milan will be victorious against Udinese. Their city rivals Roma will welcome Sampdoria, the team that plays in pretty poor form lately and the last traveler to Serie B. Bet on Lazio and bet on Roma. Juventus missed too many opportunities to grab UEFA Europa League place and therefore eve if they manage to defeat Napoli at home, they could be left out of Europe next season if Roma stay undefeated at the Olimipico. Bet on a draw here.

Serie A odds are showing that there should be a few more interesting betting opportunities. Inter is expecting Coppa Italia final against Palermo at the end of the month and their duel against Catania could serve as a good training. Leonardo will surely want to grab the trophy and here he could try and see current goal abilities of his team. Bet on Inter. Palermo will be favorites against Chievo.

Even before this round Milan secured the title. On Saturday they played a fair game by defeating Cagliari 4-1. Massimiliano Allegri’s squad demonstrated they deserved title and that they truly are the best team in Serie A this season. Thanks to the goals by Robinho (twice) and veterans Gatuzzo and Seedorf, Rossoneri got another win on their account with the title of the oldest squad in Serie A.

By playing a 1-1 equalizer against Napoli, Inter secured the second position on the table. This season is not over for Inter yet, because they are still to play in Coppa Italia final against Palermo at the end of the month. Napoli will play among the best teams in Europe next season. If they preserve the core of the squad, they could have fair Champions League odds next season.

Before this round, it was known that Bari and Brescia will end up in Serie B, but the last traveler in the same direction came to two possible names, Lecce and Sampdoria. The team from Genova slipped down in the second part of the season. They had a very poor European season in UEFA Europa League and after they sold their attacking force Pazzini and Cassano, they slumped down to the relegation place. After losing to the side of Palermo, they will be relegated for sure. Lecce on the other side had a poor start. All teams were counting on points against them, but in the second part of the season they played much better, made some good results against strong teams and after they defeated Bari, they secured stay in Serie A for at least another season.

Juventus struggles to reach UEFA Europa League spot, but they are constantly losing or equalizing against the weaker sides. This time instead of using Roma’s negligence in their 2-1 at the hands of Catania, Juve lost on their travel to Parma.

Udinese showed that they deserve to be in Champions League after this season. They have in their rows the best Serie A scorer, Antonio Di Natale, which shows their scoring abilities and their results are showing their class this season. They only need to remain unbeaten in the last round against the new Serie A champions and they will be in the Champions League for certain.

Saturday results:
Lazio vs Genoa 4:2
Milan vs Cagliari 4:1
Sunday results:
Fiorentina vs Bologna 1:1
Cesena vs Brescia 1:0
Parma vs Juventus 1:0
Bari vs Lecce 0:2
Catania vs Roma 2:1
Chievo vs Udinese 0:2
Sampdoria vs Palermo 1:2
Napoli vs Inter 1:1

Milan’s coach Massimiliano Allegri is expecting his Serie A winning side to impress until the end of the season. Rossonerri sealed the Scudetto with a goalless draw against Roma last Saturday, but Allegri wants his team to finish the job with the style, starting with their final game at home on Saturday against Cagliari. He directed his squad not to take any games lightly even now when the title was wrapped up: “Everyone should play against Cagliari. We have to do what is expected until the end, the players want to end the season in the final home match in the best of ways. The focus will not be the best, but we do not want to leave a bad impression.”

Milan suffered a 4-3 aggregate defeat at the hands of Palermo in Coppa Italia semi final on Tuesday. That was the result that made Allegri unhappy, but despite that he said his team deserved to celebrate Serie A title: “I am still annoyed about Tuesday as I wanted to make the Coppa Italia final, but its right for us to celebrate tomorrow. It has been a long time since a team won the Scudetto with games still to play. We had been leading Serie A since week 10.”
In the nearest future, Allegri is expecting to sit down with the club’s bosses and discuss about his squad for next season. Milan have Zlatan Ibrahimovic on loan from Spanish Barcelona with an option to buy Swedish striker for 24 million Euros.

Milan are the new champions of Serie A. That is certain, but thrilling finish is anticipated for the last two rounds especially between the teams which are leading the battle for European Cups positions.

Juventus will try to take three points from the match against Parma. Despite missed opportunities and dropped victory at home against Chievo last weekend, Juventus will be hoping for poor results by their UEFA Europa League spot and Del Neri’s men will be favorites against Parma. Bet on Juventus.

Roma and Lazio are leveled on 5th and 6th positions those that are leading in UEFA Europe League. However, two teams from Rome are only two points behind Udinese which after victory against direct Champions League spot rivals Lazio last weekend are boosted by confidence and travel to Verona to meet Chievo. Udinese will be favorites in that match, so bet on Udinese. Lazio will host Genoa at Olimpico, the place where home team has a pretty good score this season, so it is expected they seal the victory, despite they lost the last match at home. Roma will travel to play against Catania. They will be favorites, but a draw wouldn’t be a surprise.

Napoli will clash Inter on Sunday. Both teams are having a very satisfying season and it is expected they display great football. Serie A odds are telling that you should bet on a draw here.

Coppa Italia semi final matches are to be played on Tuesday and Wednesday.

After first-leg draws 2-2 in Milan, new champions of Serie A are traveling to Sicily to play against Palermo. Milan’s coach Massimiliano Allegri stated several times that he expects his team to be fully ready for the upcoming Coppa Italia semi-final and that he wants his team to win the cup alongside Serie A. We will see if Coppa Italia odds are in their favor. The result from the first match is not good, but as the new champions they are a certain favorites, so bet on Milan. Any win provides them a place in the final.

On the other side, Milan’s neighbors Inter are hosting the other semi-final match which they play against Roma. Inter has four wins in a row including the 0-1 first-leg win against their opponent from the Eternal city. Inter’s coach Leonardo stated several times this week he is proud on his team and he believes they can reach the Coppa Italia final. Roma is close to the Champions League place, but if things go bad for them in the last round, they could lose UEFA Europa League place, therefore, advancement in Coppa Italia final would be a guarantee they would be playing in Europe next season. I believe that Inter will go for a win, so my betting choice would be on Inter. In case that both Milan clubs advance to the final, we will see another city derby between these two teams.

Alessandro Del Piero Juventus captain and one of the best Italian midfielders in the last 20 years have signed a new one year deal with his club. He participated in winning five Serie A titles, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles. Del Piero was also a World Cup winner with Italy squad in Germany 2006. With his signature in a new contract he proves he still wants to win trophies. According to the experienced midfielder, settling the deal with the club was an easy process: “It wasn’t difficult to reach an agreement. There wasn’t that much to discuss. What needed to have been done was done. We chose today to do it and it is a nice day.”

Despite his fantastic success with the club, he believes he still has more to achieve with Juventus: “This team and this club should always have the maximum ambition and it is right to always think about winning,” he said.

Even now when he is a football veteran, Del Piero says he still shares the similar passion for the game as he did from the first day at the club: “The sensations are excellent, beautiful, just like they were in 1993. I’m happy to be here because as I have always said, I wanted to play for another year. The passion and love with which I train and play has helped me a lot and will continue to help me.”

Del Piero is a kind of player that makes a difference on the pitch and the one that gives fine example to his teammates, especially the young ones. According to Juventus president Andrea Agnelli Del Piero’s desire to stay at the club and help them in the next season that should be the season of redemption for the club, made him and everyone at the club delightful.

Juventus is aiming the spot in UEFA Europa League next season, and to achieve that they must win Chievo on Sunday and to hope that Roma will lose to Milan tonight. For Serie A tips and Serie A odds check out at: footbetting.co.uk.
