World Cup 2010: South Africa Team Profile
Overview
The South Africa National Football team is also known as Bafana Bafana. South Africa was banned from FIFA for many years, but they were able to return to Football in 1992. In 2009, South Africa hosted the Confedaration Cup, which was World Cup 2010 on a smaller scale, and they are the host country for FifaWorld Cup 2010 as well. The South African National team has some of its players playing the Europe in Premier League betting. The host country finished 4th place in the Confederation Cup. Since they are the host county for the FIFA World Cup 2010, they are automatically given a spot in the competition
World Cup Record
South Africa only has 2 appearances in the World Cup and they were not able to make the first round both times.
+ Pros
South Africa has a good history in its goal keepers, and this world cup 2010 is no different. As we all know that many of the African players in Europe are often the most gifted ones physically and also technically, South Africa has that strength in its team as well.
- Cons
South Africa suffer on the front line, they lack the ability to score and have some goals. Their matches often end up without goals as we have seen the Confederations Cup 2009 back in June.
