Who are the stars and the players who will miss the World Cup 2010 in South Africa because of injury?

1) The German Captain, Michael Ballack will not participate in the World Cup 2010 due to his injury!

2) John Obi-Mikel from Nigeria. The 23 year old midfielder has failed to recover after having a knee surgery in May

3) The Dutch Arjen Robben will also miss the world cup but there are hopes that he might be fit at some part of the World Cup 2010.

4) Andres Inesta from Spain is not going to be playing in the early games however no specific comeback dates are set for the Barcelona 26 year old Midfielder.

5) Didier Drogba is the 32 year old striker form Ivory Coast and Chelsea. He will travel to South Africa but not sure whether he will play or not yet.

6) Andrea Pirlo from Italy is one of the most essential players of the Italian national team. His presence is yet to be announced.

7) Rio Ferdinand from England is the 32 year old center back of the England national team. He is confirmed to be out of the World Cup 2010 competition due to a knock on his knee.

8 ) Diego Milito from Argentina had problems during training. The Inter Milan striker is hoping to make a recovery to play in time for the World Cup 2010.

9) Nani from Portugal is expected to miss the World Cup 2010. He was confirmed to be ruled out from the competition

10) Michael Essien from Ghana will also miss the World Cup 2010.

Most of the players who are missing the World Cup this year are Chelsea players!
